Keith Watson's Captain's Day 2020

Against a par score of 108 points, the winning team of Jason Burton, Mark Gallimore, Paul Ellis and Andrew de Burton, AKA Stumpy Boys, knitted together nicely and played some amazing golf to win by three clear points with a score of 127. Here they are warming up for the long drive on the 7th tee with what looks like a cool beer. Well played the Stumpy Boys, great win!

As recently noted, we are suffering from a rash of unrepaired pitchmarks on the greens at present. Please! If you see a pitchmark, any pitchmark please take a moment to repair it. Please also remind your playing partners.

Golf on Tour

It's about to get interesting

The Northern Trust begins this week, marking the start of the FedEx Cup playoffs on the PGA Tour. The event, held at TPC Boston, will be followed by the BMW Championship before culminating in Atlanta at The Tour Championship. It’s a hell of a payday for the winner ($15 million), as well as a lot of prestige; joining a list of golf’s modern greats.

Justin Thomas has already wrapped-up the $2 million Wyndham Rewards prize for the best regular-season player, with PGA Championship winner Collin Morikawa finishing second. Thomas will be hoping to join Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods as the only players to win the FedEx Cup multiple times (both have won it twice), but it won’t be easy.

It's great to see

Golf is going through a great period at the moment with lots of people taking the chance to play. One thing you'll notice is the number of golfers using an electric trolley to carry their clubs around the course, so we thought we'd highlight a couple of our favourites in this week's email.
